about

De Museumsingles

Noise of a Quiet Man and Le Petit Prince are two songs by Bird on the Wire that were used in two prominent museums in the Netherlands: the Van Gogh Museum and the Groninger Museum.

Noise of a Quiet Man was inspired by ‘Portret van H. N. Werkman’ (ca. 1925). of Jan Altink. ‘Le Petit Prince’ was on display next to the painting ‘Cossacks’ (1910-11) of Wassily Kandinsky.

about

Bird on the Wire Amsterdam, Netherlands

Bird on the Wire writes songs about men with beards and creatures covered in flags. You could describe their sound as dream pop, although they have some darker sides, too.
